How an engine goes from the listing to your workshop
How do I order an engine?
Everything runs through this website and the engine desk β there is no separate branch or counter to visit. Find the engine you need, send the enquiry form on the listing (or WhatsApp us the reference number), and we come back with a written quotation.
- Find the engine and note the reference number shown on the listing.
- Send the enquiry form, or message us on WhatsApp at +31 20 000 0000, with your truck chassis number (VIN).
- We confirm the engine actually fits your chassis, then email a formal quotation with the price, VAT treatment and crated freight cost.
- You accept the quotation, we issue a proforma invoice with our bank details, and you pay by bank transfer.
- Payment lands, we crate the engine and book the freight, and you get the tracking details.
Do I have to order online, or can I order by phone?
All orders are placed and shipped through this website. You are very welcome to phone or WhatsApp the engine desk to ask questions, check fitment or chase a delivery, but the order itself is confirmed in writing β quotation, proforma invoice, bank transfer β so that you and we both hold the same paperwork. We never take card details over the phone and we never ask for payment in cash, vouchers or cryptocurrency.
How do I know the engine will fit my truck?
Send us the chassis number (VIN) of the truck before you pay. Engine type alone is not enough on a modern truck β the same displacement can appear with different flywheel housings, sumps, injection systems, EGR or SCR hardware and ECU software. We check the engine number and the parts on the unit against your chassis and confirm the fit in writing on the quotation. If we confirm a fit and it turns out to be wrong, the return is ours to arrange and pay for.
What condition are the engines in and are they tested?
We sell used, remanufactured and new engines, and the listing always says which one you are looking at. Used engines are drained, inspected, compression- and pressure-tested and run where the unit allows it before they go into stock. We publish the true mileage or hours where the donor vehicle's records give it, and we say so plainly when they do not. Photographs on the listing are of the actual engine you will receive, not a stock image.
Can I get photos, a video or the engine number before I pay?
Yes, and we encourage it. Ask the engine desk and we will send extra photographs of the unit on its pallet, a short video of it running or turning over where possible, and a close-up of the stamped engine number so you can verify it independently. Serious buyers ask for this and we would rather you check than guess.
Do you sell to businesses, workshops and fleets?
Most of our customers are heavy-vehicle workshops, hauliers and fleet operators, and we also sell to private owner-drivers. Trade customers can ask for fleet pricing on repeat volume and for consolidated freight when several engines go to the same address. Business buyers with a valid VAT number in another EU member state are invoiced under the reverse-charge rules.
Payment
Bank transfer direct to us β no deposit lost in a middleman
How does payment work?
You pay us directly by bank transfer against a proper invoice. There is no checkout that takes your money before the engine is confirmed, and no third-party escrow holding your funds.
- We send you a proforma invoice showing the engine, its reference number, the price, the VAT treatment, freight and any core charge or mount deposit.
- The invoice carries our full company details: PartsPro Truck Supply B.V., KvK 00000000, VAT NL000000000B01.
- You transfer the amount to our business account at ING Bank N.V. β account name PartsPro Truck Supply B.V., IBAN NL00 INGB 0000 0000 00, BIC INGBNL2A.
- Always quote the invoice number as the payment reference so we can match it the moment it lands.
- Once the payment is confirmed in our account we crate the engine, book the freight and send you the final VAT invoice and the tracking details.
Which payment methods do you accept?
SEPA bank transfer in euros is the standard method for every order and the one we recommend. Domestic transfers inside Netherlands and SEPA transfers from other EU countries normally clear the same or the next working day. We can also arrange SWIFT transfer for customers outside the SEPA area β ask the desk for the routing details. For smaller parts orders we can invoice by card or PayPal on request; the fee is shown on the invoice before you pay. We never accept cash by post, gift cards or cryptocurrency, and anyone claiming to be us and asking for those is not us.
Do I pay the full amount up front, or can I pay a deposit?
Engines in stock are invoiced in full before dispatch β that is what releases the unit from the yard. For a remanufactured engine built to order, or a unit we are holding for a workshop slot later in the month, we can take a deposit to reserve it with the balance due before it ships. Any deposit arrangement is written on the invoice, including what happens to it if you cancel, before you send a cent.
When exactly do you ship after I pay?
We ship once the payment is confirmed as received in our bank account, not when a transfer is initiated. In practice a SEPA transfer sent in the morning is usually visible with us the same or next working day. Engines confirmed and paid before 12:00 CET are crated the same working day and handed to the carrier on the next departure for your zone. If your engine will be delayed for any reason, we tell you the day we know β we do not let a paid order go quiet.
What about VAT?
Prices are shown in euros excluding VAT unless a listing says otherwise, and the VAT treatment is always stated on the quotation before you pay.
- Customers in Netherlands are invoiced with local VAT at the standard rate.
- Business customers in another EU member state with a valid, VIES-verified VAT number are invoiced at 0% VAT and account for it themselves under the reverse-charge rules.
- Consumers buying from another EU member state are charged VAT in line with EU distance-selling rules.
- Shipments outside the EU leave VAT-free against proof of export; import duty and tax at the destination are payable by the buyer.
What is the core charge on my invoice?
Some engines are sold with a refundable core charge against your old unit, plus a refundable deposit on the steel mounting frame the engine travels in. Both are separate lines on the invoice, and both are credited back once we have the old engine and the frame back, drained and complete. You have 30 days from delivery to send the core back, and in most zones we collect it on the return leg at no cost to you. Full detail is on the Warranty & Returns page.
Are your bank details ever going to change mid-order?
No. Our bank details are fixed and they are the ones printed on your invoice. Invoice fraud is a real problem in this industry: if you ever receive an email claiming our account has changed, or asking you to pay a different IBAN, stop and phone the engine desk on +31 20 000 0000 to verify it before transferring anything. We will never ask you to redirect a payment to a personal account or to a name other than PartsPro Truck Supply B.V..
Delivery
Crated, insured pallet freight across Europe
How long does delivery take?
Transit time is counted from the day the engine leaves our yard, which is normally the same or next working day after your payment clears.
- Benelux (Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg): 1-2 working days
- Germany and France: 2-3 working days
- Austria, Denmark, Poland, Czechia: 3-4 working days
- Spain, Portugal, Italy: 4-6 working days
- Ireland, the Nordics, the Baltics and south-east Europe: 4-6 working days
- Outside the EU: quoted per shipment, with the customs paperwork prepared by us
What does shipping cost?
Freight is quoted per engine and per destination, because a complete truck engine weighs roughly 700 kg to 1,300 kg and both weight and distance move the price. You always see the exact freight figure on the quotation before you pay β it is never added afterwards. Collecting from our yard removes the freight cost entirely.
Can I track my engine?
Yes. When the engine is handed to the carrier we email you the consignment number and the carrier's tracking link, along with the crate reference so you can match it to your invoice. Every shipment is insured for the full invoice value, door to door.
How is the engine packed?
Oil and coolant are drained so nothing leaks in transit, open ports and the flywheel housing are sealed, and the engine is bolted into a steel frame or cradle so a forklift can handle it at both ends. The reference number is marked on the crate and matches your invoice.
What do I need in place when the truck arrives?
You need someone on site with a forklift or crane. A tail-lift delivery cannot be assumed for a full engine at this weight.
- Check the crate before you sign for it.
- Note any visible damage on the carrierβs paperwork at the moment of delivery.
- Photograph any transit damage and tell us within 48 hours so we can claim against the carrier and get you a replacement or refund.
- Keep the steel frame and pallet β you need them to return the core and reclaim the deposit.
Do you deliver outside the EU?
Yes, on a quoted basis. We prepare the export paperwork, the commercial invoice and the customs documentation, and we ship VAT-free against proof of export. Import duty, local taxes and customs clearance at the destination are the buyer's responsibility, so check those with your own broker before ordering.
Trust & Legitimacy
How to check we are who we say we are β before you transfer anything
How can I be sure you are legitimate?
You should not take our word for it β check us, the same way you would check any supplier you are about to send four figures to. Everything you need to do that is public.
- We trade as PartsPro Truck Supply B.V., a registered company in Netherlands (KvK 00000000). You can look that registration up in the national commercial register yourself.
- Our VAT number is NL000000000B01. Anyone can validate an EU VAT number for free on the European Commissionβs VIES service β do it before you pay.
- You get a proper VAT invoice with our full legal name, registered address and VAT number on it. Scam sellers avoid issuing real invoices because an invoice is evidence.
- Payment goes to a business bank account in the company name, PartsPro Truck Supply B.V. β never to a personal account, never to a name that does not match.
- We have a fixed address at Industrieweg 1, Netherlands, Netherlands, a landline on +31 20 000 0000, and staff who answer it during the hours published on this site.
- We will send you extra photos, a video of the unit and a close-up of the stamped engine number before payment. Ask.
How long have you been in business?
PartsPro Truck Supply has been trading since 1998 β more than 28 years, all of it in heavy-duty diesel. We started as a heavy-vehicle dismantling yard and grew into a dedicated truck-engine supplier serving workshops, hauliers and fleet operators across Europe. Engines are the whole business, not a sideline.
What if I am still not comfortable paying a stranger?
That is a reasonable position with a large first order, and we would rather answer it than lose you. Start with a smaller order and see how we handle it. Ask for a reference from a workshop in your country. Ask for the video and the engine-number photo. Verify the VAT number on VIES. Call the landline and speak to the person who quoted you. Come and collect the engine yourself if you would rather hand over the money and take the unit in the same visit. A real supplier can survive all of that; only a fake one needs you to hurry.
Will anyone from your company pressure me to pay quickly?
No. We hold a quotation for a stated number of days and we tell you when it expires. If someone contacting you claims to be from PartsPro Truck Supply, insists you must pay within the hour, refuses to give an invoice, or asks for a different bank account, that person is not us β stop and call +31 20 000 0000. Our only email addresses are sales@partsprotrucksupply.eu and support@partsprotrucksupply.eu.
What information will you hold about me?
Only what an invoice and a shipment need: your name or company name, address, contact details, VAT number where it applies, and the chassis number you gave us for the fitment check. We are an EU business subject to the GDPR, we do not sell your data, and the full detail is on the Privacy Policy page.
Visiting & Collection
We are an online-first supplier with a working yard, not a walk-in shop
Can I visit your physical premises?
Yes β by appointment. Our site at Industrieweg 1, Netherlands, Netherlands is a working engine yard and warehouse rather than a retail showroom, so there is no counter to walk up to and no shelf stock to browse. Buying is handled online through this website and the engine desk. What you can do is book a slot to come and see a specific engine before or after you buy it, and collect it yourself.
How do I book a visit or a collection?
Contact the engine desk with the engine reference number and the date you would like to come, and we will confirm a slot.
- Visits and collections are Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00 CET and Saturday 08:00 - 13:00 CET.
- There is HGV access and forklift loading on site, so a flatbed, van or trailer is all you need.
- Wait for the written "ready for collection" confirmation before you travel β engines are only released once they are crated and the paperwork is signed.
- Bring the invoice number and photo ID matching the buyer on the invoice.
- Collecting removes the freight cost from your invoice entirely.
Why is everything handled online if you have a yard?
Because it is better for you. Doing the order in writing means the fitment check against your chassis number, the price, the VAT treatment, the freight cost and the warranty terms are all recorded on a quotation and an invoice you keep. Nothing depends on what someone remembers from a conversation at a counter, and if a dispute ever comes up, you are holding the evidence. It also means our whole European stock is available to you at the same time, instead of only what happens to be at one location.
Warranty, Returns & Refunds
What happens if the engine is wrong, faulty or not what you expected
What happens if you send the wrong part?
We fix it at our cost. If we confirmed fitment against your chassis number and the engine that arrives is not the right unit, we arrange and pay for the collection and then either supply the correct engine or refund you in full β your choice. Tell us as soon as you unpack it and send photographs of the unit and the stamped engine number so we can identify what went out.
What happens if the engine arrives faulty?
Stop before you fit it and contact us. Every engine ships with a 14-day installation warranty as standard, covering internal mechanical failure, and 3-month and 6-month cover can be added at the time of purchase. If a fault is confirmed, we repair it, replace the engine or refund you β decided with you, not imposed on you.
- Contact us with the invoice number, the engine reference number and a description of the fault.
- If the engine has already been fitted, send the workshopβs installation invoice and the oil and filter receipts from the first-start service.
- Do not open the engine or break the seals before we authorise it β that ends the cover.
- We may ask for the engine back for inspection, or send a technician, before agreeing the outcome.
- Return freight on a valid warranty claim, a wrong engine or transit damage is paid by us.
- The warranty covers the engine itself. Labour, recovery, hire vehicles and downtime are not covered.
Can I return an engine if I simply change my mind?
If you buy as a private consumer at distance in the EU, you have the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal: tell us in writing within 14 days of delivery, return the engine uninstalled and in the condition it arrived, and we refund the price. Return freight for a change-of-mind withdrawal is at your cost, and the refund can be reduced if the engine has been used beyond what was needed to inspect it β an engine that has been fitted has been used. Trade and fleet buyers have no statutory withdrawal right, but we give you 7 days from delivery to inspect and raise a discrepancy, with a restocking fee agreed in advance.
How quickly do I get my money back?
Refunds go back to the account the payment came from, in euros.
- Consumer withdrawals are refunded within 14 days of the engine reaching us, as EU rules require.
- Bank transfers typically clear within 3-5 working days once we release them.
- Core charges and mount deposits are credited after inspection, usually within 5-10 working days.
- If a core comes back incomplete or with a cracked block, we tell you the reduced figure before we process it β never afterwards.
What voids the warranty?
The short version: fitting the engine without a full oil, filter and coolant service before first start; installation by anyone other than a qualified heavy-vehicle workshop; fitting an engine we did not confirm against your chassis number; continuing to run the engine after a warning light, low oil pressure or an overheat; opening the engine without our written agreement; and modified fuelling, a remapped ECU or a deleted EGR or DPF. The full list is on the Warranty & Returns page β read it before the engine goes in, not after.
The Full Terms Behind These Answers
This page is the short version. Where an answer summarises a policy, the complete wording is here:
Question Not Answered Here?
Send us the chassis number of your truck and the engine you are looking at, and the engine desk will come back with a written answer β usually within the working day.
