What to Send With Your Enquiry
- Truck make and model — e.g. Volvo FH 460, DAF XF 106, Scania R450.
- Engine or reference number — the code stamped on the block, or the reference from our listing.
- Chassis (VIN) number — this is how we confirm fitment properly.

Collecting an Engine
HGV access and forklift loading on site. Please book a collection slot with the engine desk first and wait for the "ready for collection" confirmation — engines are only released once they are crated and the paperwork is signed.
Frequently Asked Questions
The questions the engine desk answers most days
How do you check that an engine fits my truck?
Send us the chassis (VIN) number of the truck plus the engine code stamped on the block. We cross-check it against the reference number of the engine you are looking at and confirm in writing before you pay. If you also tell us the gearbox and ECU type we can flag any wiring or mounting differences at the same time.
What is the core charge?
A core charge is a refundable amount added to the invoice for your old engine. When we receive your old unit back — drained, complete and on a pallet — the core charge is refunded in full. If the old block is cracked or parts are missing, we refund a reduced amount and tell you why before processing it.
What is the engine-mount deposit?
Engines ship in a steel mounting frame or cradle so they can be moved safely by forklift. That frame carries a separate refundable deposit, shown as its own line on the invoice. Return the frame with the core and the deposit is refunded with it.
Are the engines tested before you sell them?
Yes. Every engine is run and inspected before it goes into stock. We record compression, oil pressure, injector condition and any turbo, EGR or DPF faults against the engine reference number, and we will share those notes with you on request.
What are your lead times?
Engines confirmed and paid before midday are usually crated the same working day. Delivery is 1-2 working days in the Benelux, 2-3 in Germany and France and 3-6 for the rest of the EU. Remanufactured engines built to order take longer — we quote the build time when you enquire.
Do you supply short blocks and long blocks as well as complete engines?
Yes. Most of our stock is complete engines, but we hold short blocks and long blocks too, and we can strip a complete engine down to the assembly you need. Tell the engine desk what your workshop is reusing and we will price it accordingly.
